Research on Sustainable Design of Food Storage Methods

Food is closely related to national transportation and people's livelihood, and food security is an important foundation of national security. The issue of food waste is becoming increasingly prominent, and food loss in the storage process is the most severe among all food processing processes. Therefore, based on the research status of food storage methods in both ancient and modern times at home and abroad, this article provides an overview of the current situation of food storage in family settings. From the perspective of consumers, sustainable design is introduced, using environmentally friendly materials, low energy conservation principles, and storage tools to assist in food management in meeting new future food storage needs. While meeting people's modern lifestyles, we should also reasonably use traditional storage methods, explore the possible models of household food storage in the future public health crisis, and provide references for future generations' household storage methods.
