Abstract

Agricultural internet platforms are gaining greater attention from the research community and industrial professionals. The majority of research starts from the technical approaches, while seldom relevant primary study was found about evaluating how well those agriculture internet platforms perform. This study uses multi-dimension measures and builds a theoretical framework for agricultural internet platform evaluation. The mission of this research is to address the benefits of Internet platforms on agriculture enterprises. Five indicators, namely strategic design ability, user participation, financial performance, research and development ability, and operation management ability, followed by a series of sub-items scales are proposed to achieve this objective. In this context, the result of this paper will be helpful in providing systematic performance pilots for agriculture enterprises to evaluate the effectiveness of the platforms and a referential solution to analyze the process of digital transformation, laying the groundwork for developing further suggestions for agricultural internet platform design.
