Abstract

In high school, students experience significant academic pressure. In such high-pressure environments, innovative teaching methods are often overlooked, leaving both teachers and students ensnared in the overwhelming demands of their learning tasks, unable to break free. This diminishing interest in learning further restricts the enhancement of students' academic abilities, leading to teacher fatigue and student boredom. The traditional English teaching model, characterized by its rigidity and lack of variety, fails to fully engage students, resulting in superficial teaching innovations. Therefore, high school English teachers must urgently revise their teaching philosophies. They should adopt a macro perspective, clearly define teaching objectives, prioritize large unit instruction, meticulously design teaching activities, and optimize the overall teaching process. Through innovative teaching practices, students can make more substantial progress in their English learning journey, guided by cohesive learning objectives.
