The hybrid teaching model integrates online learning with traditional classroom instruction. By applying this model to the interdisciplinary practice of junior high school physics, it offers students a flexible learning environment while enabling teachers to monitor the teaching process and reflect on their methods. This approach fosters healthy and efficient interactions among teachers and students, as well as between students themselves, in the context of interdisciplinary practical teaching in junior high school physics. This paper explores the significance of hybrid and interdisciplinary teaching, using the optics unit of junior high school physics as a case study. It connects this unit with related mechanical concepts, analyzes teaching objectives, and addresses task-driven challenges. The study details the specific application of the hybrid teaching model in interdisciplinary physics instruction, focusing on online resource sharing, question formulation, classroom introductions, group hands-on activities, group presentations, and teaching evaluations. The aim is to provide a valuable reference for the interdisciplinary teaching practices in junior high school physics.
