Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology has had a profound impact on the educational system of visual communication design. This study focuses on the practical challenges faced by regional universities in applying AI technology, conducting a systematic analysis from dimensions such as teaching content, teaching methods, faculty structure, and student cognition. It proposes an innovative approach centered on curriculum restructuring, faculty enhancement, and collaboration between schools and enterprises. By integrating AI literacy into the teaching framework and promoting interdisciplinary cooperation, the study provides both theoretical references and practical guidance for talent cultivation and educational transformation in the era of artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of reshaping students' design thinking to align with intelligent workflows, encouraging the development of critical abilities such as data-driven creativity, prompt engineering, and ethical awareness in AI-assisted design. In conclusion, the study advocates for a dynamic, future-oriented education model that fosters AI-integrated design competence, aiming to equip visual communication students with the adaptability and innovation capacity required in the intelligent era.
