Abstract

A study was conducted on the inheritance of Chinese traditional music education within a multicultural context, with particular attention to the impact of educational practices and socio-cultural changes in minority regions on traditional music. Through literature analysis and case studies, the research outlined the core functions of traditional music education in value positioning and revealed multiple challenges, including the absence of systematic curricula, insufficient teaching staff, shifts in aesthetic orientation, and risks of cultural homogenization. The study proposed breakthrough strategies such as curriculum and pedagogy innovation, enhancement of teacher training, school-community collaboration, digital platform development, and cross-disciplinary education. The results indicated that these strategies can alleviate the difficulties of inheritance, and the conclusion emphasized that integrated measures are essential for ensuring the sustainable transmission of Chinese traditional music education.
