Objective: To explore the application value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with multi-slice spiral computed tomography (MSCT) in the clinical diagnosis of occult fractures of the knee joint. Methods: Sixty patients with suspected occult fractures of the knee joint admitted to the hospital from February 2023 to February 2025 were selected for the study. The patients underwent MSCT, MRI, and arthroscopic examinations, respectively, with arthroscopic examination as the gold standard. The diagnostic efficacy of single examination and combined examination was compared and analyzed. Results: Among the 60 patients, 45 were diagnosed as positive and 15 as negative. In the MSCT examination, the number of positive and negative cases was 43 and 17, respectively. In the MRI examination, the number of positive and negative cases was 45 and 15, respectively. In the combined detection, the number of positive and negative cases was 44 and 16, respectively. The accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the combined detection of MSCT and MRI were higher than those of single detection (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The use of MRI combined with MSCT has a high efficacy in the diagnosis of occult fractures of the knee joint.
