Abstract

The theory of deep learning proposes that meaningful learning comes about when learners are capable of critical thinking, integrating knowledge from different domains, and applying their understanding to new situations. Recently, it has received a great deal of attention in the field of language teaching. The vocabulary is the foundation for all languages; it determines whether or not a student has a good grasp of it and how well they can apply their language skills. This article is about the use of English vocabulary teaching, looking for theoretical meanings, educational value, and practical implementation paths of the deep learning framework. It evaluates the present situation and problems of related teaching methods at home and abroad. Based on the present situation and problems of related practices at home and abroad, and with the Chinese teaching context, the measures aimed at addressing such problems are proposed, aiming to provide some theoretical reference and practical advice for improving the efficiency of English vocabulary teaching.
