Abstract

Nitrogen and phosphorus with naphthalene acetic acid application are the significant inputs for wheat economic yield. An experiment entitled “Physio-morphological Characteristics of Wheat as Affected by Synergetic Application of Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) with Different Doses of Nitrogen and Phosphorus” was carried out at the farm area of the Faculty of Agriculture, Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, KP, Pakistan, during the Rabi season 2018-19. Two-factor test, i.e., NAA application with NP levels, was launched in a split-plot arrangement RCBD. Nitrogen, Phosphorus levels (0:0, 60:45, 120:90, and 180:135 kg ha-1 respectively) as main plot and three different levels of NAA application (0, 60, 90 ml ha-1) as subplots. During the trial, data were gathered and statistically evaluated on many parameters of physiology and morphology. It was seen that NP levels 180:135 kg ha-1 with NAA 60 ml ha-1 application gave the best results. The data depicted that leaf area (cm-2), leaf area index, leaf area duration, crop growth rate (g day-1 m-2), net assimilation rate (mg day-1 m-2), grains spike-1, grain production (kg ha-1), total biological yield (kg ha-1), fertilizer use efficiency, and harvest index (%) are best in said treatment (T4 × GR2).
