About the Translator
Wang Tiantian holds a Ph.D. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She is currently a lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages, Dalian Maritime University, specializing in the translation of maritime literature, translation pedagogy, and terminology studies. Her published translations include The Mysterious Island and The Children of Captain Grant (Chinese editions of Jules Verne’s classics). As the lead translator, she coordinated a team of graduate students to ensure the accuracy and accessibility of this technical-historical work for English-speaking audiences.
