About the Translator

Dr. Zhang Lin is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Foreign Languages of Guangdong Ocean University, China. She received her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from Sun Yat-sen University and completed her postdoctoral research at the Corpus Research Institute of Shanghai International Studies University. Her research interests include Systemic Functional Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Ecolinguistics, and Corpus Linguistics, with a particular focus on ecological discourse and maritime communication. In recent years, she has published widely in both Chinese and English, exploring how ecological images are constructed in corporate communication as well as how maritime-related discourses shape perceptions of environmental issues. She has also led and participated in several research projects in these areas.
