Author’s Introduction
Gu Qiyi is a professor and doctoral advisor at the School of Foreign Studies, Jiangnan University, China. She specializes in applied linguistics, focusing on foreign language teaching, second language acquisition, and translation. She has led various funded projects, including those from the National Social Science Foundation, Jiangsu Province’s educational science initiatives, and the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program. Her publications include numerous articles in core journals, two academic monographs, and several textbooks. Her work has earned her several awards, such as the National Teaching Achievement Second Prize and multiple higher education awards for both teaching and research excellence.
Wang Weiwei is a faculty member at the School of Foreign Studies, Jiangnan University, China, focusing on foreign linguistics and applied linguistics. She has experience teaching high school Chinese in Pennsylvania, USA, and recently taught College English and English News Listening. She has led several educational research projects, including key initiatives on educational reform and foreign language teaching. She has authored two textbooks and published multiple papers, receiving awards for teaching excellence, including second prize in the national “Teaching Star” competition. As a mentor, she has guided students to success in national English debate competitions and intercultural competence contests, earning recognition as an outstanding educator at Jiangnan University.
