Author’s Introduction
The author Liu Haimin is from Yongji, Jilin Province, and holds a Ph.D. in Education. He is a nationally renowned teaching master, a cross-century outstanding talent recognized by the Ministry of Education, and a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Education, Northeast Normal University. He has served as the Dean of the College of Education Science at Northeast Normal University, Assistant to the President and Director of Academic Affairs, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice-President, and Director of the Preschool Principal Training Center of the School of Education. His primary research areas include fundamental educational theories, teacher education, educational reform, and educational policy.
He has led the development of China’s “Professional Standards for Preschool Principals” and the “School Operation Quality Evaluation Standards” in the “Guidelines for the Quality Evaluation of Compulsory Education.” He has also participated in the development of the “Professional Standards for Middle School Teachers” and the “National Standards for Teaching Quality in Education.” As the leader of the national key discipline in educational principles and a national-level teaching team, he has hosted national excellent courses and national-level open video courses. He serves as the chief expert for the “Marxism Project” key textbook “Principles of Education” by the Ministry of Education, the chief expert of the National Basic Education Quality Monitoring Collaborative Innovation Center under the national “2011 Plan,” and the leader of the major national social science fund project “Research on the Paths and Countermeasures for High-Quality Development of Education in New Era in China.” He has published more than 40 monographs and textbooks and over 200 academic papers, receiving more than 50 awards, including national teaching achievement awards, excellent research achievements in higher education institutions from the Ministry of Education, national educational science research excellence awards, and national ordinary higher education excellent textbook awards.
The translator Xue Lin is an assistant professor and master supervisor at the School of Foreign Studies, University of Science and Technology Beijing. She holds a Ph.D. in linguistics. She has published 2 monographs and 2 textbooks and nearly 10 academic papers.
