Author Biography
Yanrong Yang obtains her master’s degree and doctor’s degree in applied linguistics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Currently, she holds the position of lecturer at Guangdong University of Technology, where she has been making significant contributions to academic research and teaching for 20 years.
Throughout her career, Yanrong Yang has been dedicated to exploring sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. She went to Northampton University as a visiting scholar and participated in several research projects in the past years. She has published several research papers in top-tier domestic journals, covering a wide range of topics such as discourse analysis in academic settings, language philosophy.
Beyond research, Yanrong Yang is a passionate educator. She has been actively involved in designing and delivering courses that not only impart knowledge but also foster critical thinking and creativity among students. Courses such as Advanced English, English writing and sociolinguistics etc. have been well-received, and her students have consistently praised her for clarity, enthusiasm, and ability to inspire.
