News Release
Multiple international English-language open access
journals under Hill Publishing Group (HPG) have passed the rigorous review by
the editorial committee of Changjiang Database and have been officially
included in full text by the database. This milestone indicates that HPG’s open
access research achievements, spanning fields such as engineering technology,
biomedicine, computer communications, and sustainable development, will now be
fully accessible to universities, research institutions, and industry
professionals in China through Changjiang Database’s digital service network,
thereby building an efficient dissemination bridge for academic exchange
between China and the world.
As an international organization dedicated to open access publishing, HPG
boasts editorial teams composed of top global researchers. Its journals employ
a peer-review mechanism and cover multiple academic fields including clinical
science, biology, social sciences, agriculture, and medicine. Currently, HPG
provides free reading and download services to research communities in 175
countries and regions. The journals included in this collaboration include core
publications such as Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, Advance
in Biological Research, and Advances in Sustainability, which span
critical disciplines including power systems, biological research, sustainable
development, and computer communications. Its rapid publishing model and
interdisciplinary perspective are highly recognized by the international
research community. A representative from HPG stated that this cooperation with
Changjiang Database is a significant initiative in fulfilling its mission of
"promoting global knowledge sharing." It will help Chinese
researchers access cutting-edge international achievements more conveniently
while providing a broader domestic platform for showcasing the research of HPG
journal authors.
Changjiang Database, a comprehensive domestic knowledge service platform
covering all industries, is a standing director unit of the China Periodicals
Association and a digital publishing innovation platform in Hubei Province. It
has received multiple industry accolades, including the "2022 Big Data
Technology Communication Award." Supported by the intellectual resources
of universities such as Wuhan University and Hubei University, the platform has
built a comprehensive academic service system covering resources such as
journals, books, ancient books, and dissertations, spanning all fields from
basic sciences and engineering technology to medicine and health, humanities,
and social sciences. Its collection of ancient books and local chronicles ranks
among the largest in China. To date, Changjiang Database has provided digital
publishing services to over 100 newspaper and periodical offices, typesetting
nearly 8,000 issues (volumes) of journals, with a service network covering
university libraries and research institutions across the country. The
inclusion of HPG journals will further enrich its reserves of international
academic resources, particularly strengthening the supply of cutting-edge
achievements in fields such as engineering technology and biomedicine.
For the research community, this collaboration offers dual benefits: On
one hand, domestic researchers can use the "Knowledge Products"
section of Changjiang Database to retrieve the latest research results from HPG
journals with one click, providing an international reference for research
projects and interdisciplinary collaboration. On the other hand, the
combination of HPG journals' open access nature and Changjiang Database's
advantages in digital dissemination will accelerate the localization and
application of international academic achievements in China, helping related
domestic research align with international frontiers. A representative from
Changjiang Database pointed out that the platform is always committed to
"gathering momentum and empowering the internet dissemination of
journals." The introduction of high-quality HPG resources is a concrete
practice of promoting industry-academia-research integration and serving the
cultural construction of Chinese-style modernization. The platform will
continue to expand the introduction and dissemination of high-quality
international academic resources in the future.
HPG journals have been fully uploaded to Changjiang Database, and users can search and read all published papers of the relevant journals through the platform. This inclusion not only serves as authoritative recognition of the academic quality and publishing standards of HPG journals but also stands as a vivid example of deepened cooperation between Chinese and international digital publishing platforms. It will inject new momentum into the mutual empowerment of the global open access movement and China's academic resource development.
