Special Issue
Dear colleagues,
This special issue explores the innovative field of self-healing materials, focusing on their applications in both structural and functional materials. The issue will delve into the mechanisms behind self-healing processes, such as microcapsule-based healing, shape memory polymers, and intrinsically healing materials. Researchers and experts are invited to submit original research articles, reviews, and case studies that underscore recent advancements, challenges, and future directions in the development of self-healing materials. By fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing, this special issue aims to promote further exploration and adoption of self-healing technologies in various fields, paving the way for more sustainable and resilient material solutions. It including but not limited to the following topics:
Self-Healing materials
Autonomous Repair
Polymer Chemistry
Microcapsules
Shape Memory Polymers
Intrinsic Healing
Healing Mechanisms
Damage Tolerance
Smart Materials
Self-Repairing Coatings
Functional Materials
Structural Materials
Composite Materials
Recyclability
Durability Enhancement
Authors should submit their manuscripts for the special issue by emailing them as an attachment to specialissue@hillpublish.com or by using the online submission system. The manuscript should be submitted by one of the authors, and submissions by anyone other than the authors will not be accepted. Additionally, the submitted manuscript should include a cover letter that specifies the special issue to which the manuscript is being submitted.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). The submitted papers should be properly formatted and written in fluent English. All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Guidelines page.
