Special Issue
Dear Colleagues,
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has profoundly transformed the landscape of humanities and social sciences, reshaping how we research, communicate, and interpret human culture, history, and society. In the Digital Age, interdisciplinary approaches that integrate technology with traditional scholarship have opened new avenues for exploration, innovation, and global collaboration. Understanding the implications of digitalization on humanistic and social scientific inquiry is essential for addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities.
In this special issue of the Journal of Humanities, Arts and Social Science (JHASS), we aim to examine the intersection of humanities, social sciences, and digital technologies. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and critical perspectives that investigate how digital tools, methodologies, and platforms influence—and are influenced by—humanistic and social scientific research.
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit original research articles, reviews, and perspectives related to social science. We are particularly interested in papers that address the following topics:
• Digital humanities and computational social sciences
• Big data analytics and AI in humanities research
• Digital archiving and preservation of cultural heritage
• Social media, identity, and online communities
• Ethics, privacy, and governance in the digital society
• Digital literacy and education in the 21st century
• Virtual and augmented reality in cultural studies
• Policy and regulation for digital inclusion and equity
Authors should submit their manuscripts for the special issue by emailing them as an attachment to specialissue@hillpublish.com or by using the online submission system. The manuscript should be submitted by one of the authors, and submissions by anyone other than the authors will not be accepted. Additionally, the submitted manuscript should include a cover letter that specifies the special issue to which the manuscript is being submitted.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). The submitted papers should be properly formatted and written in fluent English. All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Guidelines page.
